Yoga is not just about the physical practice. Just because you can do a headstand or bend your legs over your back doesn’t mean you are a good person.
Yoga is a way of life that includes disciplines of the mind, body, and spirit on and off the mat. Those that consider themselves yogis have committed to practicing this way of life and sharing these gifts with their community.
Bhakti yoga focuses on devotion out of love for a higher power. It is simply pure love in that all acts are done out of love and devotion. The intention of the Bhakti Room is to offer an all-embracing yoga experience that will challenge not only your physical body but awaken your mind and spirit.
Yoga has been a part of Heidi’s life for many years and has helped her thrive in this crazy adventure called life. Yoga practice called stronger to her in 2022 when she made the decision to dive deeper into her practice to complete her yoga teacher training.
Heidi earned her 200hr YTT under the direction of Meg Horan at Jai Yoga School. During her training, she rediscovered the beauty of life and love and building community.
Her classes are typically vinyasa style with plenty of modifications and challenges for all levels of yogis. As her practice grows, she hopes to introduce different varieties of yoga to the Greenville area.
Heidi grew up in the outskirts of Schenectady County in a small, rural town. She earned her BA in Psychology from The College of Saint Rose in Albany and moved to Greenville in 2011.
In her professional life she supports a major retail company as an HR Business Partner. When she is not marveling at the view of the Catskill mountains from her home, Heidi enjoys making memories with her daughter, hiking, running road or trail races, and savoring every beautiful life moment.
